Our First Tooth

That's right, we finally got our first tooth!! I knew that it was going to come in any day and finally about a week and a half ago we could finally see it popping through! I just enjoy watching his 1 tooth smile...it's so cute! :)

Kaden's First Snow!!

Kaden definitely enjoyed his first snow ever. Kyle and I took him out along with our friends Kelly and Gavin. We didn't stay out to long because it's so stinking cold outside, but for the time we were out we had loads of fun!!

Bye Bye Uncle Ryan

My brother, Ryan, left earlier this month for boot camp in the Marines. He made sure he stopped by to say bye to his favorite Nephew ever, Kaden.

We love you Uncle Ryan, be safe, we will see you in April! :)

6 Months

I am a bad (very busy) mom who forgot to take a 6 month picture of Kaden on the 3rd. opps. :(
So, I am going to go ahead and update everyone on Kaden's new achievements this month.

This month Kaden has almost mastered sitting up without support. He now sits alone for 5 minutes tops before he gets tired of it and falls backwards. We have started him on meats and stage 2 baby food. He LOVES it! We still haven't found any food that he doesn't like. He has 1 bottom tooth that has finally cut through...and it hurts when he bites. He has become sooo vocal. He will lay in his crib in the morning and just talk and sing to himself forever. He is still on a pretty good schedule. We are finally able to sleep through the night, sometimes he will wake up and fuss but will fall right back to sleep if you leave him alone. He is now obsessed with his tongue. He sticks it out all the time. We are still having some trouble with playing alone...he wants attention every chance he can get...oh well, good thing we love giving him attention! We are now able to lay him in his crib for naps and he will fall asleep on his own and stay asleep for 2 hours each nap he gets. We started using a sippy cup over the weekend and he has finally figured it out...at first he was frustrated and would throw fits that he couldn't get anything out of it, but then realized that he had to suck first. He really doesn't care much for juice quite yet...so we will stick with a little bit of water for now each day...which is fine with me.

At his 6 month check up he weighed 16.4 lbs and was around 24 or 26 inches long...I can't remember which. He is filling out his 3-6 months clothes and is transitioning into 6-9 months fast. I really think we are going to skip crawling and go straight to walking. He really shows no interest in crawling. He rolls everywhere now though, so who knows.

Tongue

For some reason, Kaden has decided to stick his tongue out ALL the time. It is his new favorite thing. I guess it's because he's teething and it feels good.

Cousin Heather

Kaden finally got to meet his cousin Heather. She lives all the way in St. Louis so we don't get a chance to see her all the time. Kaden loved her....she is definitely on our list of babysitters! ;)

Christmas at Great Grandad and Mam-Ma's

Kaden's First Christmas

These are out of order, so if you start from the bottom and work your way up, that will be the way that these are supposed to go.

So, this was Kaden's first Christmas. He got some really cool toys from everyone, including Grandma Leta, Dee Dee and Dan Dad, Mam-Ma and Great Grandad, Uncle Brett and Gail, and many many more. Thank you all for making this a memorable 1st Christmas for Kaden and our family!!

Duck Faces and Bottle Holding

Thanks Nikki!!

Kyle's sweet friend from Highschool, Nikki, came down with her boyfriend, Blake, from North Carolina to visit for the holidays. They were so kind for bringing Kaden gifts!! Thanks Nikki and Blake for the cool new Tarheels Jersey!!

Branson Landing

We took Kaden down to Branson Landing with us right before Christmas. He loved being all bundled up and riding around in his stroller all day. Not one problem with him at all!! We are so proud of our big boy!! :)
