Sooo Impressed...let me tell you.

So, as you can see, Kaden was really thrilled with meeting Santa...so thrilled that he thought he should rip out a huge chunk of this poor man's REAL beard...

Lesson learned....for the both of us!!

On Friday Gavin and Kaden decided that they were ready for lunch at the EXACT same time. So I, and my wishful thinking, decided to see if Gavin could feed himself on his own with a "big boy" spoon so I could feed Kaden his lunch.

I give this kid "A" for effort, because he tried for at least 5 minutes trying to get one piece of ravioli on his little spoon before dropping the spoon on the floor just to dig his hands in it.

Needless to say, he got hosed down in the shower after we were done!! :)

My New Highchair

We should have gotten this for him a Loooong time ago...He actually does very well in it...way better than sitting him in his bouncy seat or car seat to eat veggies...

Haircut!!

Mommy trimmed Kaden's bangs in the front. They were just sooo long, and almost in his eyes...I think I did a pretty good job considering...

Just can't stay awake...

5 Months Old

Kaden turned 5 months old yesterday. We were in Wheatland visiting Great Great Granny Williams along with family from Colorado, Uncle Tucker, Aunt Char, and cousin Jennifer.

This month Kaden has learned to hold his bottle (when he feels like it). He is getting his little tush up in the air trying to crawl. He has 1 little tooth coming in which is his bottom front tooth. He is doing fantastic with his veggies and fruits...he eats them like a champ!! He LOVES the Christmas lights...he just sits there and studies them forever. He is really close to sitting on his own. He likes to watch Playhouse Disney, and Baby Einstiens. And, he is getting more and more onry everyday!!

Kyle and I just sit back and always talk about how it seems like he's been in our lives forever. We can't believe how fast he grows.

I'm still watching Gavin on Fridays...well, lately it's been when I'm needed...so more like 2-3 days a week. Kaden gets a bit jealous when I am paying more attention to Gavin instead of him. I think it's good for him to have another child in the house growing up so we don't have jealousy issues later on in life.

He still isn't sleeping all the way through the night. He has been waking up around 3 every morning for a feeding. I'm not sure if he is really hungry or if his little teeth are hurting him. Kyle and I can't wait for a steady week of all night sleep.

Other than everything I've already mentioned...he's doing great and growing like a weed. Hope to get around to most of our friends and family for the holidays!!

Fall is Here....

We're getting the hang of it!!

We've been working really hard this past month to feed ourself. I think it is so amazing that babies just teach themselves how to do this....I haven't had to show him a single time how to hold his bottle. He even tries to grab the spoon and feed himself when we are eating our veggies!! :)

*If you saw the huge scab on his ear and was wondering what that was about, he somehow scratched the inside of his little ear with what little finger nails he has...I can never seem to trim them down far enough.

I'ma Slackin'

Momma's been a slackin' on getting these pictures up...I apologize!!

Two weeks ago (that's right, two weeks) we decided to go with daddy to Platte County to visit all the nice people in the assessor and collector's office at the court house. Everyone was super nice and Kaden just loved all the attention!! Thanks for the hospitality everyone!! We had a great time!!

After daddy got off work there, we decided to go to the new shopping center, Zona Rosa. It is a really cool place to go shopping if you haven't ever been there. While there, we ran into a baby gap (they took our gap away at Battlefield) and we ran into a HUGE sale!! So here is a preview of what we got Mr. Kaden for the winter season!! I think he is adorable!!

This was also Kaden's first night spent in a hotel. He didn't do as good as I would have liked, but ok for his first time. He slept decent. Him and I ended up sitting on the couch at 4 a.m. to watch cartoons on the Disney channel, we'll just say that.

My New Best Friend

Over the weekend we went down to Wheatland to visit Great Great Granny Williams. She has this adorable black cat...I hate cats, so for me to find it adorable is really something...but, this cat just LOVED Kaden...we ended up having to put her outside because she just wouldn't leave him alone. It was cute though, because he would just lay there and pet her with his little hands.

4 Month Check-Up

Kaden had his 4 month check up last Thursday. He is 15lbs, and 26in long. He is 50% percentile in both height and weight. The Doctor said that he is growing very nicely and he is a 4 month old with a 6 month old brain. He is doing things that he shouldn't be doing until he is 6 months old. For example, if he are talking, he will literally turn his head all the way around to try and find us. Also, the other day, he was sitting on my lap while I was on the floor, and he was rocking himself until he got enough momentum to stand up on his feet...it was the cutest, funniest thing ever!!

Anyhow, I would also like to mention to our friends and family who have been wondering when our wedding pictures where going to be in our hands...well, we FINALLY have them. So, if you are interested in looking at them and picking out which ones you want let me know and I will get back to you with more details.

My Cowboy Boots

I'm sorry!! I couldn't resist getting these cute little cowboy boots for him!! I saw them and I had no choice...there was a bright neon sign with an arrow, and wording saying "Samantha, Kaden will love you forever if you buy these for him." Plus I know Grandma Mary will be just tickled to death when she sees them...tee hee!! :)

4 Months Old

That's right!! The big 4 months today!! Today is also the 1 year anniversary of us finding out we were pregnant. Boy, how time flies by when you are having fun!

Well, this month, Kaden has started to make crawling moves...he gets his little bum up in the air and then pulls himself with his hands, so we are making progress. I started him out on cereal a couple of weeks ago, and he is doing fantastic with it. We haven't started with the spoon yet, but we will soon.

I'm almost more than positive he is starting to teethe. He drools a lot, and chews on EVERYTHING. Plus his schedule is definitely all out of whack and he is fussier than average.

He is into 3-6 month clothing, and growing like a weed. He didn't stay in 0-3 months very long at all!! He is really trying to sit up on his own. I think he is perfectly capable of doing it, he just needs to get his balance.

He is getting to where he is scared of strangers. This was something that I thought I was doing a good job of including a bunch of friends and family in his life so we didn't have to go through the crying when mommy and daddy leaves. It breaks my heart to see him crying and screaming when someone he isn't familiar with hold him. Hopefully this will be something he outgrows fast. I love that he is attached to us, but I want him to be comfortable with the people that we trust to stay with him too.

He has his 4 month check-up Thursday, so I will update more then!! :)
