We got Kaden this bouncer horse to play in. At first he just stared at the yellow mane...but after he got used to it he started to kick and jump all over the place!!

12 Weeks

Kaden turned 12 weeks old this today!! This week he finally rolled over by himself...two times in a row. He had rolled over when he was 3 weeks old, but I don't think that he really knew what he was doing...this time he did it on purpose.

Not much else has happened this week. Kyle and I are celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary tomorrow. We are going to St. Louis to go watch a Cards game and just escape from the home life for a weekend. Kaden will be staying with Great-Grandma Mary, and I'm sure they will have lots of fun together!!

Great Grand-Dad's Birthday!!

Yesterday was Kyle's Grand-dad's (Kaden's great grand-dad) birthday!! He turned 83 years old. They didn't have a 3 to put on the cake so I photoshopped one in!!

Cousin Colvin was begging at the restaurant to hold Kaden, so we promised he could hold him at Grand-dad and Mam-ma's house...it didn't last long...he says "Kaden's too heavy"!!

11 weeks tomorrow!!

Tomorrow we are going to be busy with things, so I thought that I would go ahead and do Kaden's 11 week update today...just in case I didn't get time tomorrow.

This week Kaden has been doing well with his hands. He has learned how to grip and hold on to objects, and sometimes get them up to his mouth.

He has been doing really well with tummy time. He has such a strong neck. Daddy works with him every morning on his neck, back and tummy muscles. No rolling over yet though...hopefully soon.

We have also been working with our legs this week too. He loves to kick things and stand and jump up and down using his legs like little springs...it's so cute.

And, of course, we are still as cute as ever!! (as you can see by the last picture!!)

Other things this week that we have been working on is a schedule. I was having a hard time getting him to stay down for a nap, without being held. Well, this week he has FINALLY started sleeping 2-3 hours, IN HIS CRIB, around noon time!! You have no idea how happy this makes me. He has also been going to bed without any complaint at 8:30 every night. We just give him his bath, feed him, swaddle, and lay him in his crib, and he just falls right to sleep!! It's the most amazing thing ever!!

Kyle has been amazing with helping at night too. He usually helps me get him ready for bed, and then he gets up at the midnight feeding, and then I'm up at the 4 feeding, and then Kyle gets him up with him in the mornings, so he can spend time with him before he goes to work. It's awesome to have a good husband and a wonderful dad who wants to spend time and help out with his kid!!

If you go back and check out his 1 month pictures, I took them with the same bear....look at how much he has grown in 1 month!! We are having a talk with him about this whole growing up thing...we don't like it...we want him to stay this little forever!! :( (I'm just kidding of course)

9 Weeks, 2 Months, and Shots!!

We have been in Wheatland all week, so I haven't been able to keep up with our blog much.

Kaden turned 2 months old on Wednesday, and 9 weeks on Thursday. He also got his shots on Thursdy as well. He did good with his shots immediately afterwards, but last night he was up all night with a slight fever and just not feeling well. He feels much better today, thankfully.

Before his shots he seen Dr. Burson for his 2 month checkup...he currently weighs 11.5 lbs. and is 23 inches long. He's 75 percentile in height, and 50 percentile in weight. His doctor was impressed by his neck strength...he said that it was almost better than most 4 month old babies. We already knew that we had a "super baby" since the day he was born!!

Like I said, we have been in Wheatland since Tuesday. He has gotten to spend lots of time with Great Grandma Mary. Grandma Kelly came over today to visit for a bit too. We haven't been able to go outside and do much because it was raining earlier in the week, and then he got shots yesterday, so he hasn't felt up to going out. Hopefully tomorrow we can get some outside pics of him to put up.

I can't believe how much time has gone by...I know I say that all the time, but it's so true. He is gets bigger everyday, and smiles more and more. He even realizes when I am gone and cries until he sees me or Kyle. I never realized how much you can love and care for someone until Kaden came into our lives. He truely is a blessing. I couldn't ask for anything more than what he has given us.
