Kaden has learned how to open and close the doors now. If he sees you going into a room, he crawls as fast as his little body can go just so he can close the door...oh, yeah, and the screaming I was talking about earlier, there is a preview of what I am talking about in the video!!

Funday Sunday-Morning

We're Baaaaack!!!!

I want to apologize for not uploading pics for 2 months. My desktop computer has finally crashed. So, Kyle finally got me a laptop for school (yes I said school) and for my photo editing!! I'm so excited!! Instead of putting in several blogs for the time loss...I will just give you an update on what has been going on the past 2 months we've been "missing".

Kaden is now 9 months old. He started crawling right before he turned 8 months, and when I say "right before" I mean 2 days before he turned 8 months old. Just before that he pulled up for the first time...it's crazy because he pulled up on my suitcase, in which you will see in one of the photos, before he crawled. It didn't take him long to figure the crawling thing out...once he got the one hand in front of the other and the back legs going, he was all over the place!!

We are now saying "Momma" and "Dada" all the time...he know's which is which as well. He's been doing wonderfully on complete solids...his favorites are, spaghetti, mac and cheese, bananas, and any gerber finger foods. He pulls up on EVERYTHING he can possibly pull up on. He has started to transfer from one thing to the other and walk around the table. He loves his push walker. He hates his sitting walker. He is in LOVE with doggies. If he sees a dog, it's over.


He now has 3 teeth. 2 on bottom and 1 on top. I'm pretty sure he's cutting another one because he's been very cranky and soooo drewly. Now, with these teeth, he has learned to bite. He has also learned to scream when he wants attention, not crying scream, just yell really loud. He also knows how to pinch when he gets mad...these are things we are slowly working on breaking.

I'm still babysitting my cousin Maddie. She is such a little mom. She will sniff Kaden's butt and let me know when I need to change him...then she proceeds to bring me the diaper and wipes. As soon as he sees that little girl, his face lights up and he crawls as fast as he can to her and climbs all over her...it's the cutest thing in the world.

As far as me, like I said earlier, I'm going back to school. I'm just taking online classes for now because I have kids during the day. I would love to do something with photography but we shall see where the road leads me.

Kyle is still working as hard as ever. He's been super busy with odds and ends at all the counties.

Other than all of that, we are doing great and are enjoying watching our little turkey grow up!! I promise I will keep this updated more now that I have a computer!! :)

Cousin Maddy (Chad and Lindsey's little girl)

I have been watching Maddy again for the past week. I had her and her sister, Rayden, a couple of summers ago almost all summer long. So we are glad to have them back.

Maddy has been almost like a big sister to Kaden. She is such a little mommy. She helps me feed him, and change his diaper, and run upstairs to his room and pick out his clothes!! She is an awesome little girl...we love her to pieces!! :)

Daddy Night Night Time

7 Months

We are 7 months old today!! This time, I am on time with the monthly blog!!

This month Kaden has really been trying to be as mobile as possible. He has his daddy's mindset though...he won't roll around to get to things because he wants to crawl...when he gets in the position to crawl, he tries to find a way to pull himself up to stand now....he is always trying to do bigger and better things...the rest is too childish for him!! :)

He still only has 1 tooth...although I think another one or two might be trying to come in as well. He is saying da-da a lot...not a lot of ma ma quite yet. We are fitting very well into 6-9 month clothing...some 9 month stuff fits too. We are now sitting up very well...so well that we are taking big boy baths sitting up...he LOVES that! He now knows what NO NO means...if you say it to him he starts to cry and then puts his arms out to daddy. He has learned how to squeal or scream as high pitched as he can get his little voice to go. He will do this for no apparent reason.

We have started finger foods with him. So far so good. He can pick them off of his tray on his highchair and feed himself...we are proud of this. He is such a fast learner. He loves to do "big boy" things. He is also starting to play with other kids now. He will actually interact with them, and trade toys, he's so cute about it too.

We are going to try and make a trip to Hickory County sometime soon. When we do we will try to stop by everyone's houses and see you all. We miss everyone and can't wait to see you! :)
