11 Months Old (I can't believe we are almost 1)

Kaden is 11 months old today. I keep thinking about how I felt a year ago...and thinking about how huge and uncomfortable and hot I was...geesh...and a year later...I have a sweet 11 month old little ball of fire!! :)

This last month we have learned so many new things. Kaden is getting more and more vocal, and starting to talk more. He points at things and says "that" or "what's that?". He can say dog too. He is transitioning into his sippy cup very well, we use it everyday now. We have found a new obsession of his...MONKEYS!! We have held up numerous different types of stuffed animals along with a monkey stuffed animal, and he always chooses the monkey....so we thought his b-day party would appropriately be themed with monkeys! :)

We have been taking no more than 3 steps at a time...but I am seriously just waiting for him to take off running. He also recognizes to start clapping when we say "paddy cake", "if you're happy and you know it", or "YAAAAAY"!! We have learned to blow kisses and smack our lips when we are hungry. Dancing is another new thing that we randomly picked up. Any type of music comes on and he is bobbing his head and bouncing up and down! It's the cutest thing ever.

I am in awe at how attentive he is...he pays attention to everything, and doesn't miss a thing. He gets very emotional now if Kyle and I leave. He is getting to be more and more fun each day. He is at the age where you can actually start teaching him things and watch him learn...it's awesome!

Great Weather for a Popsicle!!

10 Months Old

Kaden turned 10 months on Sunday, but unfortunately we have all been sick including this poor little guy, so I didn't get to blog on his 10 month birthday...

Kaden had a his check up last week too. He is 18lbs and growing well. He still in the lower percentile for his age, but growing very steady so nothing to worry about. He is above average as far as everything else.

We now have 4 bottom teeth and 2 top teeth. He is doing well with his table foods...we haven't had a problem yet...(knock on wood).

His new thing now is clapping and waving bye bye. He has been to 2 Springfield Cardinals games so far this year, and saw everyone clapping and cheering, and picked up on it...he just started doing it out of nowhere. The waving thing, we've been working on for a while now, and he's just now getting the hang of it.

I would like to think that walking is going to be right around the corner, but he has decided that crawling gets him around just fine right now. He does however let go of things and stand on his own for about 10 seconds until he realizes he's doing it and gets excited.

He loves to read books. He loves to open and close the books, and turn the pages. He is still in love with Baby Einsteins, but I have noticed that he is really starting to enjoy Playhouse Disney a lot more in the mornings.

My First Haircut!!

We finally did it!! We cut it all off!! They did an awesome job in my opinion...it needed to be done...we were getting asked if Kaden was a girl or a boy way to much. We got it done at Pigtails and Crewcuts on Republic Rd and Kansas Expway.

Jump Mania

I took Maddie to Jump Mania last week by herself, to see what it was like...we INSTANTLY fell in love...little did I know before we got there, that they had a "toddler/infant section" for Kaden's age group...I was disappointed that I didin't bring him that day, but definitely kept mental note of it.

So Kyle and I decided to take the kids back there Monday...and even though Kaden hadn't had his afternoon nap, he loved it. Usually he is just full of smiles, but he was very tired so we didn't get much from him this time.

Uncle Ryan comes to visit
