Springfield Cardinals, Season Finale

I finally remembered to bring my camera this time!! Thank goodness too, because this was the last game of the season!!

What a great game to finish us off with. We went into extra innings with a score of 5-6 I think. We didn't get home until after 11, and Kaden didn't get to bed till almost 12:30...so he slept like a little lamb....ALL NIGHT LONG!! First time we got to sleep through the night since he's been born!!

Needless to say, we all had a great time and can't wait till next year!!

8 Weeks

Kaden is 8 weeks old today. This week, we upped our ounces to 5 and then the next day went to 6, so he has grown like a weed this week.

We went to great-grandma Mary's over the weekend, and got spoiled by her, great great granny Williams, and great-grandma Oleta. Aunt Karin, and Aunt Vonda came to see him too.

Kaden stays awake a lot during the day now. It would be nice if he would sleep more or take longer naps so I could get more things done, but as long as he is sleeping through the night, I'm not going to complain.

Kelly Stark, Gavin's mom and our close friend, let us borrow Gavin's bouncer for Kaden. He absolutely loves it!! It's been nice today to be able to put him down instead of having to carry him around all day. He even fell asleep in it!! So, thank you Kelly for letting us borrow it!! :)

We also got Kaden some new toys to interact with. We got him 2 rattles that attach on his arm so he can shake them when he wiggle about. He is so fascinated with them. He has a pig and a cow, and the one in the picture is obviously the cow.

We've been reading a lot this week too. Kyle brought home one of his books from when he was a baby. It's so cute...it's got big pictures of single items like an apple, and keys and things like that with bright bold backgrounds. Kaden just stares at it when I read it to him. He likes it a lot.

Gavin comes to visit

"What's wrong? Do you want me to show you how to be cute for the camera?"
"Just like this! See how cute I am...it's easy!! "
"Let's get together and try it."
"What's wrong? Still sad?"
"Here...how about a kiss. All better now?"

The Nice Ladies from Wayne County

The ladies from Wayne County Missouri, one of Daddy's counties that he works for, got Kaden a bunch of cute little things. Here is one of the cute little hats they got him!! He looks absolutely adorable in it...I can't wait till it's cold enough outside for him to wear it out!! Thank you so much Mary and Frances we love everything you sent our way!! :)

Fun at Grandma's Farm

We went down to Great-Grandma Mary's house in Wheatland this weekend. We loved going outside and seeing the outdoors. It was a nice "getaway" from the "city" life here in Springfield. Even Daddy was relaxed with Teddy the dog!!

7 Weeks

Sorry I haven't been on here all week...we've been really busy at home lately, so I just haven't had much time.

Kaden turned 7 weeks old today. He is getting to be a chunk!! He is now taking in 5 oz every 3-4 hours. We had another rough day yesterday with no nap at all!! He was awake all day long.

I love it because each week he smiles more and more. He smiles more for Kyle than me. It's awesome to see the bond between them grow.

Over the weekend we took Kaden to his first Springfield Cardinals game!! Stupid mommy, forgot to bring her camera though, so I personally didn't get pictures, but Dee Dee did. He was really really good surprisingly, considering how loud it is there. He didn't cry one time, and stayed awake throughout the whole game. He even got to meat Louie!! :)

He's been staying with Dee Dee some this week too, so mommy and daddy can get stuff done around the house, and spend some time together. He has so much fun with her...they play and laugh together. He loves his Dee Dee and Dan-Dad! :)
